C’est aussi à Diourbel où j’ai eu mon Bac au lycée Technique Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba (LTAB). J’y ai joué au nawétane dans les équipes Déklé et yegoo.
Diourbel a fait de moi le Baol Baol que je suis.
C’est à Diourbel où reposent mes défunts pères, mes grands-parents, mes gogos…, où se trouve la demeure de mes grands-parents paternels….
Diourbel est ma passion. Tout enfant, j’ai toujours rêvé de changer son visage.
Thiès, mon espoir
À Thiès, où se trouve la maison de mes parents, j’ai appris à me battre, à jouer au football entre Ngouille tékhé (grand thies) et Randouléne en passant par rond-point Normandie. J’ai connu Ndosso, Sangomar, Gandiol, cinéma amitié, cinéma palace…Thiès est dans mon cœur. Dans les cimetières de madocky y repose mon défunt fils. Thies nous donne de l’espoir. Elle bénéficie énormément d’opportunités à saisir et à exploiter.
Fouta mon inspiration
Séno Palel (Kanel-Matam) est le village de mon grand-père maternel Thierno Abdoul Karim Daff, un érudit qui a régné du temps des Almamys. Il y a construit une mosquée considérée comme la seconde construite en Afrique de l’Ouest après celle de Djenné au Mali. Une mosquée qui continue de résister au temps.
Fouta est mon inspiration. La dignité de sa population, la solidarité des familles, l’attachement aux valeurs de l’islam m’inspirent beaucoup et tous les jours.
Parcelles assainies, mon repère
J’habite aux parcelles assainies-Dakar. J’ai ma maison dans cette commune de Dakar. « Goudi goudi parcelles ». C’est au marché Dior où je prenais le car rapide pour aller à l’université. C’est aux parcelles où sont nés mes enfants.
À un moment de ma vie, j’avais décidé de quitter ma maison pour me retrouver à la cité Djily Mbaye où j’ai fait trois ans. J’avais tout entendu à l’époque. J’aurais abandonné les parcelles pour un quartier plus huppé d’après certaines mauvaises langues.
Ce qu’ils ne savaient pas est que cette maison me hantait. C’est dans cette demeure que j’ai eue les plus grands moments de complicité avec notre défunt fils. Il fallait à un moment changer d’environnement, fuire cette douleur que nos souvenirs provoquaient tous les jours, tous les instants.
Aujourd’hui nous sommes retournés dans cette maison.
Parcelles assainies est mon repère. C’est ce territoire que je « géolocalise » quand je suis loin. Parcelles me rapproche des Layennes, communauté disciplinée et organisée.
Kourouck mon village
Kourouck est dans la Casamance, commune de Sindian, département de Bignona. Ses habitants m’ont baptisé Thierno Bocoum Sané. J’aime ce village de la verte Casamance qui enseigne l’humilité, la bravoure, l’amour de l’autre. Kourouck est mon village. Je le porte dans mon cœur.
Touba ma boussole
Touba m’accueille plusieurs fois tous les ans. Talibé mouride convaincu, j’aime cette ville de tout mon être. J’admire ce qu’elle symbolise en terme de piété, de discipline, de travail. J’ai découvert touba à travers mon défunt père, talibé de Serigne Touba. Touba nous inspire, Touba nous guide.
Tivaouone, la ville sainte
Tivaouone, la ville sainte m’a accueilli. Je fais partie de ces enfants qui ont eu la chance de prier tous les vendredi avec Serigne Abdou Aziz Sy Dabakh à la grande mosquée de Tivaouane pendant un an. J’ai aussi eu la chance de recueillir ses prières dans sa demeure à Diaksao. Tivaouane un haut lieu de l’Islam m’a beaucoup fasciné. Le Wasifa dans les mosquées raisonne encore dans mes oreilles et m’apaise le cœur. Tivaouone m’a fait découvrir Diassane, ce haut lieu de prière qui fait la fierté du Tidianisme.

J’ai eu la chance de faire Vélingara (Kolda). J’étais à l’école des sœurs. Une expérience qui m’a permise de vivre pleinement le dialogue islamo-chrétien. Vélingara m’a fait découvrir d’autres facettes de notre culture et de nos traditions. Le Fouladou m’avait beaucoup appris.

C’était une fierté de voir son nom au soleil. Un journal que j’avais gardé longtemps. Kebemer, la ville du Président Wade m’a fait connaître M. Ndao qui fut mon proviseur et professeur au lycée Macodou Kangué Sall et plus tard notre chef de quartier à Mbour 3-Thiès. Un homme exceptionnel qui nous a quitté. Paix à son âme.
Kaffrine, cœur du doucoumane
C’est à Kaffrine où j’ai eu mon Bfem au CEM Ababacar Cobar Ndao. Le doucoumane m’a énormément appris des valeurs de travail et de fouleu. Kaffrine m’a fait découvrir une autre facette du Saloum profond.
Il n’est pas un seul département au sénégal où je n’ai pas mis les pieds. De Saint-Louis à Ziguinchor en passant par le Djolof, le Sine, Tambacounda, Backel…, j’ai découvert et apprécié un sénégal dans sa diversité ethnique et religieuse.

Je pense à des membres d’une famille qui doivent faire l’effort de se connaître, de se comprendre, de s’entraider… La diversité est une richesse à sauvegarder.
