Faisant ainsi référence à celui où on se trouve et celui que l’on choisi de combattre. Aucun autre choix n’est laissé y compris celui d’en être d’aucun des deux ou d’avoir son propre camp.
Il est constant que certains s’interrogent sur la posture d’une personne lorsque sur le tableau de bord, elle n’est ni avec eux ni avec ceux d’en face. Une vision manichéenne parfaitement assumée et des enclos construits pour confiner les opinions.
Avec une telle approche, défendre un principe qui profite à un camp nous soustrait automatiquement du droit de défendre un autre qui profite à un camp adverse.
Ce n’est donc pas le principe qui compte mais bien le camp auquel on s’identifie.
Le Sénégal ne peut pas se construire de cette manière. Les principes doivent prendre le dessus sur toute autre position.
Nos lois qui sont d’ordres généraux et impersonnels doivent nous départager sans que la partisanerie n’interfère dans son application.
Hier nous décrions l’attitude de ceux qui refusaient de répondre à la justice.
Aujourd’hui, nous défendons l’application de la justice en leur faveur dès l’instant qu’ils ont décidé de la saisir.
C’est cela un combat de principe. Cela transcende les appartenances politiques et remet l’éthique et les valeurs au cœur des prises de décisions.
La véritable adversaire d’un État de droit est la partisanerie aveugle qui torpille l’application de la loi et relègue au second plan les valeurs d’une république qui doivent transcender nos volontés propres.
Sauvons ce pays des excès. Nous sommes face au mur et ça roule vite.
