On aurait passé notre temps à jouer au Nintendo, à regarder la télévision, à faire le tour des espaces de jeu et des cinémas, à faire langa buri en permanence.
Aucun devoir ne serait rempli. Ni étude ni éducation ni discipline n’auraient eu de la place dans nos activités familiales au quotidien.
Les politiques de perditions dissimulées dans les scènes des dessins animés, le manque de filtres dans l’accès à l’internet, les programmes pernicieux de certains contenus auraient fini par déstructurer la cellule familiale.
Le sens de l’existence d’un chef de famille ou d’un couple de parents est de pouvoir impulser, recadrer, orienter, éduquer.
Le leader dans un pays doit jouer presque le même rôle. Sans être paternaliste, il doit conscientiser, orienter, tracer des voies et y entraîner du monde. Le leader c’est celui qui prend le courage de guider et non de choisir de surfer sur les vagues.
Le piège de la démocratie est que le grand nombre peut être composé des moins sachants, des moins avertis. L’âge moyen au Sénégal est de 19 ans. Plus de la moitié de la population sort à peine de l’adolescence. Le taux d’analphabétisme est estimé à 57,2%.
Si nous n’avons pas une masse critique de leaders capables d’orienter, d’encadrer et d’éduquer dans le sens des ruptures réalistes et du changement de paradigmes dans la conduite des affaires, nous irons tout droit dans le mur. Le populisme aura fini par nous éloigner de l’essentiel et nous inscrire dans le cercle vicieux de l’éternel recommencement.
Le courage de tendre la main pour guider des pas est la vraie identité d’un leader.
