La réalité socio-économique de notre pays avait évidement et bien évidement exigé une riposte purement sénégalaise de la pandémie. Depuis le 22 Avril nous avons fait une contribution pour proposer au gouvernement sénégalais de s’adapter face à la courbe sénégalaise et africaine de l’évolution du virus et à nos réalités socio-économiques. Des propositions concrètes ont été faites dans ce sens.
Un gouvernement ne peut pas se contenter de décisions coercitives dans un contexte de crise économique sans se donner les moyens de mettre en œuvre cumulativement des mesures compensatrices et des mesures dissuasives.
Compenser ceux qui sont impactés et sanctionner ceux qui violent les règles. Le gouvernement n’a ni les moyens de compenser ni les moyens de sanctionner. C’est une évidence qu’il fallait accepter depuis le début et orienter notre riposte sur nos réalités.
Aujourd’hui la maladie est encore plus menaçante qu’hier. Le pic qui serait atteint est un leurre. Aucune stratégie ne peut permettre de dire que nous avons atteint le pic. L’Etat est dans du pilotage à vue sans possibilité d’adopter une logique scientifique capable de nous sortir de l’auberge.
Ils ont échoué.
Ils ont orienté nos maigres ressources sur la stratégie d’adaptation et non sur celle d’endiguement. Nous en avions parlé dès l’annonce de la répartition des fonds force COVID-19 par le Président de la République.
L’élargissement des tests n’a pas été un choix depuis le début. Le renforcement de notre plateau médical est à peine leur souci. La production massive de masques à mettre à la disposition des populations a été totalement ignorée.
Il n’y a eu finalement que des mesures mimiques et décisions coercitives qui ne pouvaient en aucun moment résister face aux réalités du pays.
Ils ont échoué, c’est indéniable !
Aujourd’hui, il revient aux populations de se prendre en charge et de faire attention car ce virus est encore là et il est bien réel.
Les personnes âgées et les personnes souffrant de maladies chroniques sont encore plus que jamais exposées avec cet assouplissement sans mesures d’accompagnement concrètes.
Ils ont échoué mais le combat doit continuer pour nos vies et pour nos proches.
