J’ai été dissuadé d’aller rendre visite à mes parents Sané de Kourouck, dans la commune de Sindian, département de Bignona. La raison, que le chef de village, Samboudian Sané m’a confirmée, est que cette zone est estampillée « zone rouge ».Elle serait une zone dangereuse, fréquentée par les éléments du MFDC. J’ai décidé de m’y rendre malgré tout, ce 25 décembre 2019, en tenant juste compte de mon devoir de réciprocité envers des compatriotes Sénégalais qui m’ont fait l’honneur de me baptiser Thierno Bocoum Sané et qui m’ont invité à venir présider leurs journées culturelles.
J’ai été accueilli avec beaucoup de joie et d’enthousiasme. J’ai rarement trouvé autant de simplicité, d’empathie et de cohésion sociale dans un terroir pourtant si éloigné et si oublié…Ceux qui manquent de tout, en partie, à cause d’une réputation qui leur colle à la peau, se sont montrés bien meilleurs que beaucoup.
Kourouck a la chance d’avoir des Kouroukois et Kouroukoises dignes et sincères. Les habitants de ce village sont malheureusement privés d’un minimum vital: Eau, électricité, piste de production, voies d’accès, personnels et matériaux pour une case de santé déjà construite par les populations, revenus…Ce village est dans les mêmes conditions de dénuement que les 18 villages parmi les 19 que compte la commune de Sindian, ainsi que des milliers et des milliers de villages nichés sur le territoire sénégalais. Kourouck ne manque pas pour autant de bonnes volontés qui travaillent matin et soir pour faire sortir leur terroir du trou de l’oubli. J’ai décidé de me joindre à eux, de répondre aux mains tendues dans un atmosphère de désespoir et de crainte pour l’avenir. J’ai décidé de lutter pour aider à faire sortir la tête de l’eau les oubliés de nos gouvernants.
Nous devons travailler à faire du Sénégal un lieu de partage de richesse qui prend en compte tous nos compatriotes, qu’ils soient du village ou de la ville. Nous devons veiller à offrir le minimum vital aux populations dans leur diversité et leur appartenance géographique, tout en valorisant leurs convictions religieuses et culturelles. Nous devons veiller à améliorer les conditions de vie des populations à la place des dépenses de prestiges et des investissements non rentables.Malgré l’ambiance de fête et la cohésion sociale qui y règnent, Kourouck n’a pas pu cacher ses balafres qui rappellent le goût de longue d’années d’oubli.Kourouck, mon village, je te porte dans mon cœur.
