L’ambassadeur de France a eu raison aux yeux de certains de nos compatriotes de s’être immiscé dans les affaires internes du Sénégal parce qu’il développe des arguments qui contredisent le gouvernement sénégalais. Il ne s’est plus agi de mettre en avant la souveraineté de son pays mais de relever le revers de son adversaire politique.
Les convictions ne doivent pas seulement se mesurer par rapport à nos propres actions, elles doivent aussi pouvoir s’exprimer dans les actions des autres, que nous soyons amis ou adversaires.
Quand nous avons la forte conviction que nous devons nous soustraire du dictat et des injonctions de l’étranger, nous devons pouvoir soutenir tout acte allant dans le sens de récupérer ne serait-ce une parcelle de souveraineté de la part de l’Etat.
Si nous pensons que l’acte n’est noble que lorsque nous l’appliquons nous-mêmes, ne soyons pas surpris d’endosser les mêmes échecs que ceux que nous n’avions pas soutenus ont lamentablement subis aux détriments de tous.
Si nous n’avons pas le réflexe d’être solidaires sur les principes, nous risquons de pousser les autres à avoir la même posture. Alors que nous avons besoin de tous pour gérer l’affaire de tous. Notre intérêt commun.
De la même manière si nous voulons protéger nos valeurs et notre culture, nous devons aussi être solidaires à ceux qui s’y attèlent et s’y conforment. C’est l’exemple de Mame Matar Guèye.
C’est la véracité du message qui compte et non le messager et son environnement. Quand tous les messagers qui s’activent volontairement sont éliminés, il n’y aura plus de messages, donc plus de combats.
Apprenons à être généreux pour nous-mêmes en accordant aux autres la capacité de nous compléter dans nos désirs profonds. Si nous voulons y arriver, nous devons savoir que nous ne pourrons pas y arriver seuls. Se mobiliser pour arrêter l’autre au lieu de l’appuyer c’est se faire hara-kiri dans son propre projet.
Le Sénégal gagnerait à compter sur des fils et des filles conscients de la nécessite d’être solidaires sur les combats de principe. Tout comme dans d’autres cieux, le « moi » y est haïssable.
